The most famous diamond in the world is definitely the Cullinan 1, with its D color and flawless 530,2 carats, it adorns the Sovereign’s Sceptre with Cross of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom, kept in the Tower of London.

Historically, the most important diamond is Koh-I-Noor (in Persian, meaning, the mountain of light). Its history dates back to the 14th century, after having several owners, it came into the possession of Queen Victoria who decided to recut the diamond. Today this diamond adorns the crown of Queen Maria and is kept in the Tower of London.

Another very famous diamond is the blue Hope which weighs 45.5 carats and has its origins in India, being brought to Europe by Jean Baptiste Tavernier. The owners over time, were also Queen Marie Antoinette and Cartier. Finally, the famous jeweler Harry Winston donated the stone to the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, where it can be seen today, it is insured for 250 million USD.
